class=\"p1\">La <b>s\u00edndrome d\u2019apnea obstructiva del son<\/b> (<b>SAOS<\/b>) \u00e9s una malaltia que consisteix en l\u2019aparici\u00f3 d\u2019episodis repetits de pauses respirat\u00f2ries durant el son, les <b>apnees<\/b>, normalment superiors als deu segons. La causa principal d\u2019obstrucci\u00f3 \u00e9s el col\u00b7lapse de les parets de la <b>via a\u00e8ria superior<\/b>.<\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p1\"><span style=\"line-height: 1.5;\">La <\/span><b style=\"line-height: 1.5;\">s\u00edndrome d\u2019apnea obstructiva del son<\/b><span style=\"line-height: 1.5;\"> afecta una mica m\u00e9s d\u2019un 25\u00a0% de la poblaci\u00f3 i condiciona molt negativament la qualitat de vida d\u2019aquells que la pateixen. No nom\u00e9s el seu descans durant la nit, que en casos extrems pot comportar fins i tot la mort, sin\u00f3 tamb\u00e9 l\u2019activitat di\u00e0ria, acompanyada de somnol\u00e8ncia i fatiga cr\u00f2nica. I encara m\u00e9s greu, l\u2019<\/span><b style=\"line-height: 1.5;\">apnea del son<\/b><span style=\"line-height: 1.5;\"> provoca la reducci\u00f3 d\u2019oxigen que transporta la sang, produeix hipertensi\u00f3 arterial, malaltia cardiovascular, alteracions metab\u00f2liques i hormonals i increment del risc d\u2019accidents.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\r\n<!--EndFragment-->\r\n\r\n<!-- [if gte mso
