The Maxillofacial Institute is located at the Teknon Medical Centre, an International centre of reference for health.

What characterises the Centre?

A campus that covers more than 60,000 m2

The current facilities, opened in 1994, cover over 60,000 m2. The Teknon Medical Centre campus is divided into eight large interconnecting areas, each of them provided with a direct access from the Centre’s 1,000-space car park.

Teknon Medical Centre offers top class accommodation with extraordinarily bright rooms, individual air conditioning, TV, and all the medical and sanitation equipment necessary. The Centre also has 300 individual rooms and 19 suites.

Day Hospital

The Day Hospital was created for patients whose treatment does not require an overnight stay in the Centre, and it has 42 rooms and 3 outpatient operating theatres.

Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

The Intensive Care Unit has 14 ICU cubicles for children and adults.

More than 300 professionals to care for patients

Doctor’s offices for a medical team of over 300 professionals that cover all the medical and surgical specialties for children and adults. All these services are interconnected by means of internal circuits exclusively for patients.

20 state-of-the-art operating theatres

The Surgery Area includes 20 operating theatres equipped with the most advanced medical equipment, where some 14,000 interventions are performed each year.

Emergency Service

The Emergency Service is permanently on call, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. It has a team of leading professionals and the most advanced technical resources to quickly, efficiently and safely respond to the 300 emergency cases handled by the Teknon Medical Centre each day.
