Antonio Falca, an oral surgeon from Romania, suffered from severe sleep apnea. During the night, his airway would collapse repeatedly, interrupting his breathing and preventing restful sleep.
He chose to treat the condition with bimaxillary surgery, performed by Prof. Federico Hernández Alfaro at the Maxillofacial Institute. The procedure advances both the upper and lower jaws, permanently widening the airway and addressing the anatomical cause of the apnea.
In the video, Antonio shares his experience—both 24 hours after the surgery and 18 months later.
