Prof. Federico Hernandez Alfaro has been recognized in the Top Doctors Awards 2019, an award granted by the medical group itself, through thousands of recommendations, to the best Spanish specialists.
The purpose of these awards is threefold:
- Make known to the medical specialists most recommended by the doctors themselves during the year, those to whom they would trust their health or that of a family member.
- Highlight the high level of Spanish medicine, since doctors and medical teams are identified by their excellent training and clinical skills, as well as by the time, attention and care they offer to each patient.
- Help the patient recognize the best specialist for their case.
To obtain the award, the platform conducts periodic surveys to an external base of 80,000 doctors to recommend and vote for top-level specialists and the most recognized medical teams, in addition to surveys of the 5,000 specialists specialists of the Top Doctors platform. After the votes made by the professionals themselves, the doctors and nominated teams must pass the Top Doctors audit, done by the external consultant Adecco Medical Science, which verifies that the nominees are excellent professionals using more than 10 quality criteria, and all Top Doctors Awards finalists must pass this audit. Finally, among the finalists, the 50 specialists and 20 medical teams that have received the most nominations throughout the year are chosen.
